We are confident the TripleEDGE league will provide the best indoor facility, supervision, player safety, and a more POSITIVE lacrosse game experience.
Maryland Indoor Winter League
NO PRACTICES -- GAMES ONLY

We have secured the LARGEST indoor facility in the area to host the MD Winter League.
- Playoffs and Championships for top teams in all Divisions.
- Champions will receive team awards.
- Outstanding players will be honored and receive individual awards.
We have secured the LARGEST indoor facility in the area to host the MD Winter League - The Discovery Sports Center, Germantown.
Players MUST have at least on season of organized lacrosse experience.
START: The last week of November - NO GAMES Thanksgiving weekend!
END: Late Feb - just before spring tryouts
NO GAMES on Christmas or New Years Day
GAME FORMAT
This is NOT BOX lacrosse. The size of the fields allows for a much more realistic game - closer to the outside field game. This will help teams and players prepare for their spring season. Players have the opportunity to sharpen their game skills in a competitive, organized, and safe league.
- 8 v 8 lacrosse
(2 Attack, 3 Midfield, 2 Defense* - and a Goalie)
- Regulation 6' x 6' goals
Much better for shooters and goalies
- Limited Body Checking - NOT Box lacrosse
Protect players from injuries prior to the spring season
- League starts in December
To allow teams to play in the many fall tournaments and not miss games. The season ends just prior to the spring season tryouts.
We encourage full teams to enter the league as a group. Players will be placed with teammates from the same high school or youth group. Single players or small groups are also welcome to register.

Game Days and Times
By popular demand we have secured additional hours on Wednesday and Friday evenings to accommodate more teams. This will allow for teams closest to the Discovery Center to play both during the week and on Sundays.
**We will work closely with teams prior to finalizing the schedule to balance game days and times that are most convenient for them.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISIONS
Based on current school grade
VARSITY (11th and 12 graders)
*Exceptions for players who played Varsity last spring or by coach recommendation.

NEW AGE CRITERIA - Established by US Lacrosse for the upcoming 2012 season. Players AGE as of August 31, 2011.
Players may play UP an age group but not DOWN
U-15 No older than 14 (as of 8-31-11)
9th graders must play JV
U-13 No older than 12 (as of 8-31-11)
U-11 No older than 10 (as of 8-31-11)
U-9 No older than 8 (as of 8-31-11)
YOUTH Game Days and Times:
FRIDAYS between 6:00pm and 9:00pm
SUNDAYS between 7:00am and NOON

Players MUST have played at least one season of organized lacrosse to be eligible to participate in the "game only" league -
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Overview
- Games ONLY- No practices
- SEVEN game schedule

- Trained ADULT supervision on all fields
- Players will be placed on the same team with others from their youth group or high school
- 20 players per team to maximize playing time
- Certified referees will officiate all games
- Players receive a game jersey to keep
- Post game "tip card" with positive messages on competition, sportsmanship and training drills
