2010 Summer League

Boys U-11/9

IMPORTANT: Based on final registrations we have merged the teams from the players in U-11 and U-9

Fairfax and Dulles leagues into ONE U-11/9 Division. This was done to create larger teams and a more competitive league

We secured additional hours at state of the art lighted turf fields to accommodate the merger.

U-11/9 Specific Rules

We are committed to providing a positive and safe lacrosse experience for all TripleEDGE players. The rules below were discussed and approved by the coaches in this division. They will be enforced to the fullest.

1. 10 on 10 full field lacrosse.
2. NO BODY checking – incidental body contact on ground balls is acceptable.
3. NO long sticks on defense – all sticks must be between 36” and 42”
4. Stick checks are allowed – must be controlled – NO uncontrolled swinging checks will be permitted.

These rules are established not only for safety, but to teach and re-enforce good fundamental body controlled defense – skills that are essential in lacrosse and are often overlooked or ignored by young players. We will have qualified ADULT

officiasl on the field to provide consistent enforcement of the rules.

Players MUST check-in at the TripleEDGE tent prior to EVERY game

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to all games dressed and ready to play.

Games MUST start on time

**ATTENDANCE: REGISTERED PLAYERS ONLY - If you are unable to attend a scheduled game you are welcome to show up early or stay late and fill in

if teams are short players. You are welcome to come out ANY night your division is playing and fill in IF teams need players.

ALL “fill in” players MUST check-in at the TripleEDGE tent and verify players are needed for a specific game
